Single Stream Recycling
All recyclable items can be placed in the same container for easy curbside collection.
- No sorting is needed.
- All recyclable materials will be collected every other week.
- Recycling bins and decals are for sale at the Selectmen's Office in the Municipal Center, Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. 18-gallon bins are $7, while 22-gallon bins are $9.
- Residents may also use regular trash barrels as recycling containers provided that they are affixed with a "RECYCLE" decal. Maximum barrel capacity is 34 gallons; maximum weight when full is 30 pounds.
- Decals are free and can be obtained in the Selectmen's Office.
What to include:
- Newspapers, magazines and catalogs
- Cardboard (pieces no larger than 2'x3'x1')
- Paperboard (i.e. cereal and shoe boxes)
- Telephone and soft cover books
- Junk mail and envelopes of all types
- Milk and juice cartons
- Plastic bottles marked #1-7
- Glass or plastic soda, juice and water bottles
- Food containers
- Glass bottles and jars of any color
- Aluminum
- Metal cans
- Milk jugs, bleach and detergent bottles, and shampoo bottles
What not to include:
- Plastic bags
- Unmarked plastics
- Windows and light bulbs
- Dishes, Pyrex, ceramics
- Foam packaging and Styrofoam
- Aerosol cans
- Food or hazardous waste
