Of Our Single Stream Recycling Facility
Single-Stream Recycling
Single-stream recycling is a system in which all paper products, plastics, tin cans, aluminum, and glass are mixed in one collection receptacle. The materials are collected in one vehicle and brought back to our 80,000 square foot recycling facility in Westborough, MA. Here, the materials are sorted through a combination of automated processes and manual handling for quality assurance.
Organics Recycling for your Business
In October of 2014, the State of Massachusetts placed a ban on the disposal of commercial organic wastes by businesses and institutions that produce one ton or more of these materials per week. By partnering with E.L. Harvey to compost, recycle, reuse, or convert food wastes instead of disposing of them, you can achieve or surpass your sustainability goals.
Confidential Document Destruction
An under-utilized aspect of many commercial recycling services is the safe and secure destruction of confidential documents. E.L. Harvey offers customers multiple options for their confidential document destruction.
E-Waste (Electronics Recycling)
E-Waste is defined as computers, hard drives, office electronic equipment, entertainment device electronics, mobile phones, and television sets. Electrical devices are collected and disassembled for parts that can be reused in new machines or materials that can be recycled into new products.
Construction & Demolition (C&D) Recycling
In 2006, E.L. Harvey opened a Construction & Demolition (C&D) recycling facility using state-of-the-art equipment. This facility and its equipment sort C&D material through a series of automated processes. These processes remove wood, plastic, metal, aggregate, and cardboard from construction loads.
Food Waste/Product Destruction
In 2016, E.L. Harvey purchased the Scott Turbo Depackaging Machine. This system can separate most packaging from organic food waste for use as animal nutrition, supplemental anaerobic digester organics, or product destruction and packaging reclamation.
